Pollinate in Risca was such a fun shoot. I was already a customer, as I loved having a reusable store in my local area. Getting to grips with ‘no plastic’ and using more eco friendly products can be quite daunting, but the lovely lady who runs the shop, Claire, is incredibly helpful in giving her customers some great advice.
The shoot itself was a dream I was able to get some lovely shots of the outside of the building and the amazing window display that Claire had put in, which did a fabulous job of highlighting all the crafts that she had for Halloween. Then inside the shop I photographed the general layout of the interior pictures. The best part for me to shoot was the small close up photographs of the products. The grains and other food products made some lovely textures in the images.
Getting to see all the gifts that Claire has in stock was also a highlight, certainly gave me a few Christmas ideas, it also allowed me to really get some good photographs of the variety of products that she offers.
